Good afternoon to our EES families,


We have had a fantastic full first week back to school! It has been amazing watching our students work together and quickly get back into the routines of the school and their classroom!


Every Child Matters - Orange Shirt Ordering Information: September 30, 2024 is formally recognized as National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, the day to honour and remember the children who attended Residential Schools and those whose lives have been affected by family members who attended. For the last number of years, HPEDSB has joined others in recognizing this day by wearing orange shirts.  Once again this year we will be taking orders for the sale of these shirts.  Orange Shirt orders are on Cash-on-line and are available for purchase.  ORDERS ARE DUE SEPTEMBER 17, 2024 AT THE END OF THE DAY.  Delivery will be later this month.


EES Open House & Family BBQ - Thursday, September 26. 2024 from 3:00-5:30 PM!  We are excited to be hosting an open house for our families to drop-in and see our new school!  We will also be offering a community supported BBQ for all of our families that attend. 


Easthill Elementary School is so proud to be kicking off the year with our Terry Fox Run on Friday, September 27, 2024. Please help our students fundraise for cancer research and follow in the footsteps of one of our greatest Canadian heroes.   1. September 17, 2024 - Grade 7 Immunizations forms due back to EES

  2. September 17, 2024 - Orange Shirt Orders Due (only through cash-on-line at this time)

  3. Tuesday, September 24, 2024 6:00PM - EES School Council Meeting: Our first meeting of the school year will be held in person.  If you would like to be a part of this meeting please contact the office and we will share the information with you. All parents/guardians with students in attendance at EES are welcome to attend and participate on our 2024-2025 EES School Council.

  4. Thursday, September 26, 2024 3:00-5:30 PM - EES Open House

  6. Monday, September 30, 2024  - Orange Shirt Day - Every Child Matters - Canada’s National Day for Truth & Reconciliation -  a day to honour and uphold Survivors and intergenerational Indigenous Survivors of the residential school system, and to commemorate those who didn't return home.


EES Student Teams & Clubs (currently running with staff involvement):

  1. EES Student Council - Leadership team for intermediate students to further develop the EES Community through student voice and involvement in fundraising and event planning for whole school participation.

  2. JEDI (Justice/Equity/Diversity/Inclusion) Club - A school-based equity club of intermediate students and staff working together to assist and inform our equity plan, considering different perspectives and setting priorities for our school and community.

  3. Cross Country - A Grade 4-8 event that students can try-out for. Students will practice running distance with the coaches at the school, and will compete against other schools in our school group on September 24, 2024 at Quinte Mohawk.

  4. Soccer - Intermediate Soccer tryouts are happening now. Our school group tournament will be on October 9, 2024 at Thurlow Fields.

School Cash Online Printable Instructions.

Step 1: Register 

a) Go to hpedsb.schoolcashonline.com or  select the “Get Started Today” option b - complete each of the three Registration Steps

Step 2: Confirmation Email 

Registration confirmation email - click on the link in the email to confirm your email and School Cash Online account. The link will open the School Cash Online site and will prompt you to sign into your account. Use your email address and password just created with your account. 

Step 3: Find your student(s) 

This step will connect your children to your account. a) Enter the school board name b) Enter the school’s name c) Enter your child’s last name and 9-digit Ontario Education Number (on your child’s report card) or ID number provided to you for new JK’s d) Select continue e) On the next page confirm that you are related to the child, check in the agree box and select continue. f) Your child has been added to your account.
