Good afternoon to our EES families!

What an amazing week here at Easthill! We had a fire drill on Wednesday, and Thursday was filled with excitement for all of our students as they celebrated fall with school dances. On Thursday, students also enjoyed a hashbrown casserole for hot lunch, prepared and served by members of our community.   The volunteers who provide this nourishment to our students each week are incredible!

Teachers are continuing the completion of Elementary Progress Reports and Kindergarten Communication of Learning: Initial Observations reports. On-going communication between classroom staff and parents and guardians is important to the success of all students. Reports will be sent out on November 18, 2024.

Treaty Awareness Week November 4-8 -  This annual event honours the importance of Treaties and helps students and residents of Ontario learn more about Treaty rights and relationships. By learning more about our collective Treaty rights and obligations, we can create greater understanding and nurture relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples.

School Spirit Wear ordering is available through School Cash Online. T-shirts, hoodies, and long sleeve t-shirts are available to order in both adult and youth sizes.  Orders are due November 8, 2024 to ensure arrival of items prior to the holiday break.

Our fall fundraiser is in conjunction with CC Farms.  We are offering Holiday Wreaths and Planters for sale.  Each item costs $35.00 and is available for purchase on School Cash Online.  Orders are due November 10, 2024 and orders will be available for pick up on November 25, 2024 at the school.

School Council - We are excited to begin working to support student learning at Easthill through the support of the School Council. Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, January 14, 6:00pm in our Library. We will also offer an online connection for people that may not be able to attend in person, but can join virtually. More details and the link for the Meet will be shared out closer to January 14.
