Good afternoon QEB Families,

We’ve come a long way since school started in September. It’s been amazing ending this year with so many exciting events:  the happiness of class trips, the energy of track and field and our playday, our farewell concert with Andy Forgie, our final assembly and celebrating a milestone together at our Grade 8 graduation. We are so proud of our school community and of the perseverance and growth that our students have shown throughout this school year! 

We want to say thank you to the following staff for their dedication and support of our QEB students, staff and community. We wish them well in their new positions and placements within the HPEDSB!

We are getting excited for the move to our new school, Easthill Elementary School (EES)! Information will follow in August regarding your child’s class and where to bring your child(ren) on their first day of school at EES. Information will  be posted and updated on our new EES website (Coming soon!) throughout the month of August. The website will include our new phone number and email address. If you have any questions regarding the start of the new school year, please reach out through phone or email. The EES school office will be open during the week of August 27-30, 2024.

With summer comes a slower pace (hopefully), and the joy of spending time with family and friends – we are all ready for that!  As you head out on your summer vacations in the coming days or weeks, we want to extend best wishes for a well-deserved time of rest, fun and safe adventures!

EES Information Items:

  1. August 27 - 30, 2024 - EES Main Office Open

  2. September 4, 2024 - First day of the 2024-2025 school year

  3. September 4-6, 2024 - Staggered Start for our kindergarten students - families have been contacted by email and phone calls with information regarding the start date for their child’s first day at EES for the 2024-2025 school year.

  4. Students currently accessing Lexia reading programming will continue to have access over the summer. Please reach out to staff for login information if you wish to have your child access this reading tool over the summer.
