Dismissal from School

Our dismissal bell rings at 2:30PM and students will not be dismissed earlier.

There will be no parking permitted for families on school property at the end of the day. Temporary parking strictly for dismissal, can occur on the street or in the neighbourhood if you are driving.

Kindergarten Families

Driving & Walking:

Kindergarten students (and older siblings) that are being picked-up by a parent/guardian/older sibling will be dismissed from the Kindergarten Play Space at the front of the school. Students will be released from the south gate (closest to Dundas St) directly to their families. We are asking our kindergarten families to wait at the south end of the kindergarten yard to allow a clear path from the main entrance to the bus lane.

Buses:

Students going home on buses will come the North Pathway to line up for their bus as their class exits for dismissal. Staff will lead them to designated bus lines and supervise until the bus is loaded and ready to leave.

Grade 1 - Grade 8

Driving & Walking:

For students in Grade 1-3, parents/guardians/older siblings need to be present at Entry Point B to pick up their child(ren) at dismissal. The north Entry Point B (morning Drop & Go) will be a space for families to wait to receive their child(ren) at the end of the day. Please park on the street and walk to Entry Point B for the end of day hand off.

For students in Grade 4-8 please communicate with your child’s teacher if you are picking up your child or if they have permission to walk home by themselves as they do not require an end of day hand-off. Students will leave the school grounds through Entry Point A. Students are not permitted to remain on school property after school. Students in Grade 4-8 who need to pick up younger siblings, can walk to Entry Point B for pick up.
